Nicaragua
House Build 2019
Thanks to the success of the 2nd Annual ROG Fest, we were able to purchase supplies and materials to build a house for a very deserving family in Jiquilillo, Nicaragua. ROG team and friends helped build the house alongside the family and community, attended a local school graduation and participated in local conservations efforts, among many other things.
Guatemala Art Show 2018
After the Guatemala trip, The ROG was so taken by the art school there that was started by a young that we decided to put on an art show where all the proceeds went back to the school. The students created the pieces and we arranged them to be shipped to us. We sold out within an hour and the money raised helped them purchase much-needed art supplies and to help the school remain open.
Guatemala Trip 2018
With the help of Monty’s Beach Lodge, ROG team headed down to Guatemala. Raised funds were allocated to two separate projects in the village of San Pedro - finishing a surgical unit at a local hospital and construction work for a local artist and his family of 12. Due to our ROG communities’ charitable efforts, Dr. Mendez and his team were able to complete their first surgery the following January.
Nicaragua 2017
The ROG's second volunteer mission took them to Jiquilillo, Nicaragua. We visited El Liminal which is a community of 300 families living on an actual trash dump. In addition to supplying the community with health and wellness supplies, we donated ingredients to cook a meal that fed the whole community. We also taught English at a local school, painted a house for a pamily that was a part of the Women's coop, organized a beach clean-up, and supporting local conservation efforts to protect turtles from being poached, all with the help of Monty’s Beach Lodge.
Baja Trip 2017
The very beginnings of the Richness of Giving! Any Davis took food and supplies to a camp of 13 families in the hills above Ensenada, Mexico. These families live in extreme poverty and don’t have access to running water or basic living supplies. We helped the community by bringing health and wellness supplies for the women and small children, toys, and a bag for each family that included food, water and a soccer ball for the kids! We spent our time interacting with the wonderful people in this community and playing games with the children.
